The Orinda Library and MathElf, an SF startup from local edtech entrepreneur Vanessa Roth have teamed up to offer professional tutoring to all Lamorinda students completely for FREE during our weekly Math Lounge. Join us in the Gallery Room every Tuesday from 4:00-6:00pm for snacks, homework help and fun. Bring your friends.
MathElf is a remote tutoring program on the iPad that connects students in real-time with outstanding professional tutors. Students and tutors talk to each other while writing on a shared whiteboard. No video. No sign up or commitments required.
We provide the ipads, snacks and hands-on support. Students under 13 need parental permission–slips (available on site). There will be up to six iPads available, and students rotate through as they need help. For more information call Stephen DeFrank at the Library, (925) 254-2184.
